One thousand, two hundred and seventy-two people entered the recent Goodreads Giveaway to win one of four copies of ‘Damp Dogs & Rabbit Wee.’
I appreciate it’s simply human nature to sign up for anything ‘free,’ these days, even if the ‘prize’ is of no particular interest to the entrant. It would possibly make a half decent present for a friend or relation. Why not?
And obviously, I’d far prefer to have sold one thousand, two hundred and seventy-two copies of the book. I’d then have been one really happy wee bunny.
But hey – at least it’s created some awareness, even short term. All those entering the giveaway must at least, if only subconsciously, read the the title of the book. Perhaps it will remain with them. Perhaps they will take a punt and buy a copy for a friend or relative. Here’s hoping.
As for the winners: well, there was one from UK; one from USA; one from Canada and one from India!
At least I can now legitimately describe ‘Damp Dogs & Rabbit Wee,’ as an international
OK, if you must split hairs – an international freebie.
