Beats me!?!

I don’t get it!
How is it that since I published my new book on Amazon four weeks ago (did I tell you I’d published a new book? 😉 ) the only people who seem interested / find it on the internet, are those who promise to get it in front of a buying market? At a price, of course.

The messages are all of a similar (I suspect AI generated style) saying how wonderful the book is and how amusing it it and how reflective it is and how it deserves to be read worldwide and these people are the just the people who can arrange this!

Well, yes, of course it is all of the above, but that’s not the point here.

I’ve lost count of the e-mails I’ve had on this. That, and people asking for interviews – but what we’d call ‘vanity’ interviews where I’d have to pay, or buy some product of theirs in exchange.

It was never like this in the good old, more naive days of ‘Damp Dogs & Rabbit Wee.’

***If anyone has read the book, could I please ask that you leave a short review on Amazon? That way, the book receives a bit more prominence within the mysterious algorithms. ***

  1. I had heard rumours of a new creation. Why I hadn’t added it to the Inca site already defies credibility. I’ve apologised and added it in just now. Sorry you’re not at the top of the list in the Collections section, but I’d only just posted Rob Roy (maybe too big for the letter box) and he was promised top spot for a while at least (he bribed me with a free copy). However, remind me in a week or so, and I’ll shuffle you two around and put more summarised blurb in the ‘featured’ section for SHKMH.

    Let me know if you want any of the words changed on your (sadly inadequate – that’s web space for you) summary 😦

    • Hey – thank you Rob! Sorry – I thought you knew, but maybe just got distracted when I mentioned the other two ‘projects’

      That’s very kind of you – and the wording is perfect.

      AND I appear before Mark Roman, whose latest I just downloaded this week and have in my ‘to read’ pile. I’ll take that! 😉 😀
