A witty and affectionate memoir of the author’s childhood and teenage years in the late 60’s and 70’s. I laughed out loud several times.
If you have first hand experience of this amazing, innovative era then this book will resonate with you. The music, fashion, TV and Films all lovingly remembered and shared.

Just fabulous . I didn’t read this in a couple of sittings, rather I read a couple , if not a few chapters per night . I looked forward to reading it whilst in bed. This sums up the 60s and 70s perfectly. Honestly a great read. The author has it totally covered ,and you are transported through time .
NO LAUGHING MATTER … A SHORT TALE OF DEATH & HOW TO RECOVER FROM IT.
On 25th April 2023, I suffered an SCA – a sudden cardiac arrest. Only 8% survive of those who fall victim to such an ‘out of hospital’ event, so I’m one very lucky dude!
Everyone who does survive, will deal with the aftermath in different ways – this was my way.
Written immediately on return from a sixteen-day stay in hospital, it’s probably not your usual ‘survivor’s tale.’ Laced with dry, perhaps dark humour, it’s an upbeat and true account of love, laughs and gratitude.

A heartfelt and personal account of how a set of circumstances led to the author’s life being saved. Cee Tee reflects on his experience through humour, humility, sensitivity and gratitude to the policemen who administered CPR, the NHS staff and the author’s love of his family. Cee Tee’s humour and strength of character shines through in his eclectic style of writing resulting in reading his story through tears of both laughter and emotion at the trauma experienced. With a very happy ending! Take good care of yourself! 💜

As a survivor of sudden cardiac arrest myself, I absolutely enjoyed Cee Tee’s lighthearted look at this crazy death experience we share. His humour mirrors my own, his writing was easy to enjoy, and I’m just so glad we are alive to tell the tale.
GIVE THE DOG A HOME.
I have been lucky enough to have visited Goa in western India, on many occasions. Every year I go, I befriend several stray beach and / or street dogs. They can be intimidating at times, but most are gentle, loving dogs, simply looking to survive.
I wrote this book in a few weeks prior to our visit in February 2023. The book is a ‘short-read’ and can be broken down into three distinct sections:
1: my lighthearted and amusing personal observations and interactions with these dogs;
2: the tale of two extraordinary women who went / still go to great lengths to care for these stray and otherwise unwanted dogs;
3. I look at the work of one of the charitable bodies that runs a sanctuary for old or injured dogs.
I visited this place during my stay this year. The intention was to pass most of the royalties from sales to the charity. However, despite making an up front donation, there was no acknowledgement or promotion or even a mention of the book forthcoming … so the money went to one of the ladies in the book who continues to care for the dogs on a daily basis – even through the torrential monsoon season.

This is a wonderful tale of the dogs living in Goa, at times funny, at times heart wrenching, the author does a wonderful job of telling the adventures tired and bringing to life the individual personalities of all the stray dogs.

DAMP DOGS & RABBIT WEE.
This was my first attempt at writing a book. The intention was to use it as a trial effort – a means of discovering what was involved in the writing and self publishing a book. I had no great aspirations for it. Yet, with an absolutely minimal budget , it quickly shifted over four hundred copies between UK and USA, and garnered over forty worldwide reviews.
I then turned my attention to other projects, until a publisher expressed an interest in taking it on.
That was a bit of a disaster … they did absolutely nothing to promote it and a year later, I got took back control.
Very quickly: the book is a lighthearted buy compassionate look at my business as a petcare professional … ok, a dog walker. (You can ‘meet’ the characters elsewhere in this blog.)

Oh my goodness, what’s not to love about this book? The author is supremely Scottish and it’s all about antics with animals. I haven’t laughed this hard in a long time. I’d hire Mr. Jackson to care for my pets in a heartbeat–except I think I’d prefer to go along on the walks to see all the adventures myself.
This marvelous narration takes the reader through the ins and outs of life as a Pet Care Professional. Dog, cat, and bunny lovers will all find moments they recognize as well as plenty of surprises. The writing is engaging, real, articulate … in a word–BRILLIANT! My kindle’s pages are marked all over with passages that had me in stitches. Mr. Jackson could surely make any profession or commonplace activity sound far more entertaining than it really is, but when the spirited cast includes these special dogs (and one alarming hamster in particular), it’s even better.
Since this is a real life story, I don’t know how we wrangle a sequel, but I certainly want to read more from this author!
