Just over a year ago, I was asked by Summersdale Publishers (part of the Hachette UK group) if I’d like to ghost write two ‘gift books’ for them.
It’s not the kind of thing I’d even contemplated doing before, but the opportunity of working with bona fide publishers was too good to dismiss.
Though being a ghost writer I don’t get a cover credit, there is a little acknowledgement inside.
I was responsible for all the content, and though a renowned illustrator was enlisted for the artwork, I had to describe the cartoon to be drawn.
The books have just been published this weekend! I believe the initial print run was 5,000 copies of each book and as well as Amazon, they are to be stocked by Waterstones, WH Smith, Blackwell’s, Hive and others.
BUT WAIT! Before you rush out to spend all your pocket money, I’ll have even more exciting book news in a few days! (Just like corporation buses, my books.) ![]()

I really am so pleased for you, Cee Tee. I remember when you told me about this last year, so it’s great to see them in print 🥰

Thanks Esther – they were fun to do, though way more difficult than I first imagined.
(It’s my new one, to be announced later this week, I hope, that excites me more, though.;) )
