A while back, I sought to buy some after-shave. Nothing special, just a little bottle of something inexpensive for wearing while around the house. I approached the young lady at the perfume counter in the store.

“Do you have anything small and cheap?” I asked.

Not missing a beat, she quickly replied:

“So – something to reflect your personality, then?”

Brilliant! She nailed the sale right there and then! 😀

So, that got me thinking – what is the one word that describes me?

Hmmmn, let’s see:

Short – nah, too obvious.
Handsome? – too vain.
Funny – too presumptuous
Clever – just a lie.
Impulsive – let me think about that one.
Gushing – absolutely not!
Positive – maybe .. if ‘positive cynics’ are a thing.
Trendy – Ha Ha Ha!! 😀 😀 😀

I could bang on all day, detailing what I’m not. Or what I don’t think I am. But one word for what I consider myself to be?

I think I’d have to go with REALIST.

Yeah – that’ll do.

REALIST.
