Did you understand that?
No? Good. Proves the point, doesn’t it.
Boy, that was short post – my work here is done. 😉
Ok – for real: what’s something most people don’t understand? Well, here’s one I know, Chinese writing. Only about 18% of the world population can understand this. So ‘most people don’t understand.’ it I checked. It’s true.
Actually, everyone on the planet will not understand something. Lots of things. And I’d wager, ‘most people’ won’t know most ‘stuff.’ (No, I didn’t fully understand that either. Let me try to elaborate.)
‘Most people’ will not understand the rules of pickleball, say. They can learn, of course, but right now, they won’t understand. This half-cocked logic can be applied to many situations. But what ‘most people’ will not understand, I’m sure is what it’s like to walk in another person’s shoes. Figuratively speaking, I mean.
Mukesh Ambani, for example? He who lives in the over-opulent Antilia residence in Mumbai. Would he truly understand what it’s like to live in the slums over which his home towers? Or those living quite literally in his building’s shadow – would they understand what it’s like to have money? And to be fair, would they understand the pressures Ambani has to endure to maintain his lifestyle?
Oh heck! I’m no use at the serious, sensible argument guff. I tried. I failed. I’m gonna stick to stupid nonsense in future.
At least I understand that.
