‘Diddly Squat: Pigs Might Fly’ by Jeremy Clarkson.

(***** Five out of five stars.)

This’ll be brief.

I’ve already ‘reviewed’ the two previous books in this series by Jeremy Clarkson. And this one is really just more of the same. That’s a good thing though – if it ain’t broke, why ‘fix’ it?

Jeremy Clarkson splits opinion, that’s for sure. Me? I’d love to go for a couple of beers with the guy. I find his style of humour, especially so in his writing, exactly what I find funny. Deadpan, wicked, acerbic, sarcastic and bordering on what those of a woke disposition would consider acceptable.

But it’s not just the comedic aspects that draw me to the ‘Diddly Squat,’ series. I used to work (in a bank) at an agricultural market and have ever since retained a distant interest and utmost admiration for those who work in the farming industry.

I have a great deal of sympathy for the farmers of UK, and taking Jeremy’s personality out the equation, these books serve to highlight just what these businesses and families are up against in their quest to scrape a living.

Educational and funny. That’ll do for me. Another very enjoyable read.

(That’s me ‘reviewed’ three of your books, Jeremy. Feel free to comment on mine! 😀 )
