I SHOULD OPEN BY STATING THAT Ceeteejackson.com IS THE SOLE AUTHORIZED HOME OF MY WRITING.
I had cataract surgery yesterday.
That in itself, is no biggie. It was in fact, very much easier to deal with than I initially thought. Which is just as well, because I’ll be having the other eye done in a couple of months.
No, the reason behind my daily blog today is to thank and praise the hospital I attended in Clydebank, Scotland.
The Golden Jubilee Hospital is marvelous. I can’t speak highly enough for their staff, surgeons and just simply the general organisation / administration. Of course I’ll forever be in their debt after the care I received during my sixteen day hospitalization just over three years ago, when I survived a Sudden Cardiac Arrest.
BUT … it wasn’t until AFTER I’d got the train back to Glasgow, until AFTER I’d walked through the City Centre; until AFTER I’d been to the record shop; AFTER I’d had a beer in the Smokin’ Fox …. and only WHEN I went to the loo in said pub, that I realised the extent of the indelible mark the hospital has left on me!
